El Carmen Nature Reserve
4 day tours to Reserva Natural El Carmen are scheduled once per month with the exception of December and January. Tour cost is $1395 per person, plus 8.25% Texas state and local taxes. Included are all transportation from Boquillas Port of Entry, meals (see details), expert guides, and comfortable lodging at Reserva El Carmen headquarters at Rancho Pilares.
Due to Covid-19, tours to Reserva El Carmen were suspended indefinitely on March 17, 2020. We hope to resume operations by May 1, 2021 for guests who who have completed the Covid-19 vaccine series at least two weeks prior to trip departure. Dates will be published as soon as we know when the staff at Reserva Natural El Carmen will be vaccinated. Protecting those so distant from health care is a priority.
