TEXAS RIVER MUSIC WITH BUTCH HANCOCK

THREE DAYS Lubbock Legends BUTCH HANCOCK and JIMMIE DALE GILMORE

TEXAS RIVER MUSIC WITH
BUTCH HANCOCK and JIMMIE DALE GILMORE

November 8-10, 2024

On November 8-10, 2024 Butch and Jimmie Dale will launch on an unforgettable excursion down the Rio Grande, down one of the spectacular river canyons the Rio Grande is famous for. Which canyon we choose to run is dependent on water level and local conditions. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable river experience without having to rush. We will make camp in a comfortable location with outstanding scenery and which offers opportunities to hike, swim, paddle, or just lounge around camp.

Like many visitors to Big Bend, Butch was drawn to the unparalleled beauty and mystery of the legendary Rio Grande. Butch soon invited his friend from The Texas Flatlanders, Jimmie Dale Gilmore to join in the fun and then Jimmie Dale was hooked. Both Jimmie Dale and Butch performed on many editions of Texas River Music, separately and together. Butch is a certified river guide and will row his own boat. After dinner, around the campfire, Jimmie and Butch will choose from their extensive repertoire.

Cost for this trip is $1325 per person plus 8.25% sales tax, with a $200 deposit per person to reserve a space.
